Before you write

Most reports are faster to resolve with these details:

Please don't include passwords or account tokens. IP addresses on your private network (such as 192.168.x.x) are fine.

Common questions

The app asks for Local Network permission. Why?

Discovery needs it. If you declined, enable it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → NetScope. The app shows "Permission required" until then.

No Wi‑Fi name is shown.

iOS only reveals the network name to apps with location access. Grant it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → NetScope, or leave it off; everything else still works.

A device I know is on the network isn't listed.

NetScope lists devices that answer. A device that drops every probe, sits on another VLAN or guest network, or is asleep won't appear. Check the coverage line on the scan; if SSDP or Bonjour was skipped, the reason is shown. A home agent sees more through the kernel's neighbor table.

MAC addresses are missing.

iOS does not expose other devices' MAC addresses to apps. This is a platform rule, not a bug. A home agent on Linux can report them.

The agent shows "unreachable".

Three heartbeats were missed. Check that the host is powered on and online, then run sudo systemctl status netscope-agent and netscope-agent status. Observations recorded during the gap sync when it reconnects.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app: More → Account → Delete account. Your workspace data is removed from our servers within 30 days. Local data stays on your device until you delete the app. Details in the privacy policy.
